The Ultra High Field 3T GE Pioneer magnet at HMI Pearland features the Perspectum Liver Multiscan which evaluates the overall health of the liver. Up until now, traditional MRI's of the abdomen have been limited to evaluating pathologic diseases of the liver, but it does not evaluate the liver's actual health. The Liver Multiscan has been proven to be an excellent source for detecting and quantifying liver disease. It provides data that reveals how much fat and iron content is present in the liver; these are good indicators for underlying liver diseases such as fibrosis hemochromatosis, and liver inflammation which leads to fibrosis and liver cirrhosis, one of the leading causes of death in the US.
We are so excited to recognize and award our employees at our 2019 Christmas celebration. We are proud of each of our team members, as they have shown incredible dedication to delivering excellent patient care. Dr. Stenoien presented each winner with an award and acknowledged their excellent work.
